How Much Are Go-Kart Frames?

There are many things to think on carefully here with a question like this one, my friend, and the very first thing that I would like to point out would perhaps be the lone fact that it depends on if you buy the frame ( used or new, and from where, and even if there’s expensive shipping fees involved to import – export ) or make it yourself. Yes, you can buy the parts real cheap and put the frame on yourself, and adjust to size. Or you can pay a pro to do it all for you, which will undoubtedly cost quite a bit more, 9 times out of 10. But if you buy a new frame itself ( usually the full piece, with everything you need, including instructions for mounting, assembly, etc ) , you might expect to pay like $200 for something basic…. and buy it online, where you can save more money ( Amazon, baby… ) .
Now, then, I would like you to think on this point next : How many hoops, brackets, mounts, etc will the frame come with, and will it all be hard to setup? Will these pieces be made of quality – like material? Or will they be cheap imported stuff? This will affect how much you pay as well. Keep that all in mind.
My next point is this, friend : if you get the frame used, from a 3rd party – known type of site ( like Craigslist, eBay, Offer It Up, etc ) , then you can pay around as little as $75. I have seen many people go this route and save some money, but just do be careful who it is that you end up buying from. Ask any many questions as you possibly can, if you are ever in doubt. And always read the reviews or reputation of the seller before buying anything from them, there. Always have a backup plan and some collateral, should things ever go south ( they fail to deliver the product on time or even send it out, the product is fake, etc ) .
Now when it comes to welding something together on your own, and using it as the perfect frame, try some steel plates and / or bars. Take the right measurements ahead of time. Junk yard sites and other abandoned places can usually be good hunting grounds for finding plenty of scrap material you need, and they often won’t mind if you come in to see what you can salvage. In fact, you’d be doing them a favor in helping them make some more room to store more incoming junk in ( by taking their stuff … but just remember to always ask first ) .
You can buy frame packages on Amazon as well. Check them out now. That’s another option. Prices vary there.
We hope this helps. Think on it some more. Get your frame now!
