How Do I Make My Go-Kart Faster?
Author: E. Silva (aka Mr. Awesome Expert)
If speed is your thing ( like Sonic the Hedgehog, the Flash or any other fictional character that pops into your head, he he he he he heh ) , then you will like to find a few ways you can go faster when you race go – karts. Do you like to kart? Well, then this is for you. Do me a favor : Do not miss this blog. You might learn a thing ( maybe two, he he he he heh ) ….
Now first of all, I would like to make this plain and simple, known to all of you who are now reading this : The first thing you will want to do to get more speed is to upgrade that engine, of course. Speed is born there, after all. A good, strong engine with more capacity yields greater and greater speed potential. That’s a fact. So start by getting that drive – shaft some more power …. by getting a more capable, newer engine, all in all.
Your wheels spin faster when you have a good axle in there, doing its job, not to mention having superb acceleration, too. If you don’t have much going for you there, currently, or it’s been a while since you upgraded or had things checked, then now might not be a bad idea to start thinking on that. Take some action with it.
Next, how about thinking of getting something like a Titan TX200? That is, of course, if your go – kart is designed to handle it ( and approved for use with this specific engine ) ? You get a 196 cc displacement on this engine as well as 6.5 in horse – power altogether, and did I mention people get it mostly for racing ( but I bet you guessed that already, he he he he he heh ) ? You can also try going for a more optimized go – kart carburetor, at the end of the day. What this will do is help your overall speed, as well, and you might be wondering how this has anything to do with it?
Well, let me tell you that your carburetor pumps your engine with air, and not many know this, but you can ADJUST the rate of pumping ( thereby increasing speed and performance as well ) . Cool, right? I know.
When you get more air and fuel going right into that combustion chamber in your engine, thanks to the carburetor, it’s easier to pick up speed more quickly and easily. Boom! Problem solved.
Extra side note : A turbo – charger can also help you increase speed. Get one with a great forced – induction system on it. Learn how to ( or have someone who knows ) install it. Get an oil pressurizer system made to along with it, and you are practically buying the ability to get more speed on your go – kart!
